Unfortunately, a few rounds into the career will require you to use a specific character and if you haven’t already upgraded him, you won’t stand a chance and will have to go back and grind a few races to earn those precious upgrade points to proceed. You do have a choice of three characters to choose from, each with their own balance of abilities, which can be upgraded throughout the career to improve speed and handling. So far, so good, right? The problems lie in the extreme gaps between each difficulty level, as the AI’s speed increases to ridiculous and unfair levels even on two stars.
